Croatia team football received a hero's welcome by tens of thousands of fans on his return to Zagreb, today, after the historic achievement achieved by reaching the final of the World Cup for the first time.
Croatia lost in the World Cup final against France, Russia, 2-4, yesterday.
Gathered more than 100 thousand people in the main square in Zagreb and began singing when they saw the plane carrying the team on a giant screen.
The team went through a plane over the crowd, accompanied by military aircraft, after landing on the runway, the players came out, led by star center Luka Modric amid shouts of fans at the airport.
The team went through an open bus to the main square where thousands of people gather and spread out on the roads flags and banners which bore the names of possible from all over Croatia, as well as from abroad, including Bosnia and even Australia, where there is a large community of Croatian.
Wrote one banner, "so he loves Croatian", and on the other, "our numbers a few but we have faith that is enough."
